PSTET Exam 2023 Educational Qualifications
There are 2 levels of posts, which will be filled under PSTET Exam 2023: Primary Teacher (Paper I) and Upper Primary Teacher (Paper II).

| 1. | Primary Teacher (Paper I) – Class 1 to 5 | Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Candidates must have passed Secondary or it’s equivalent with at least 45% marks or the final year candidates of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE can also apply. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Candidates must have finished Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks successfully or the final year individuals of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) can also appear for PSTET 2023 Exam. Graduation with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is essential for Classes 1 to 5: Primary Level. Such Candidates must undergo a 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years as a primary level teacher. |
| 2. | Upper Primary Teacher (Paper II) – Class 6 to 8 | Candidates who have completed their Graduation or candidates pursuing their final year of 2- a year Diploma in Elementary Education can also apply.Should complete Graduation with at least 50% marks or/ and pursue the 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Graduation with at least 45% marks is required or candidates who passed or appeared in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) are also eligible. Candidates must possess Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks or/ and candidates who passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks is required and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed is also eligible. Graduation with at least 50% marks is essential and passing or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education). Candidates who possess a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE are eligible. |
